of the Church Cherry
Hill Chinese Christian Church (CHCCC) is an independent,
non-denominational Christian church with a Chinese congregation of 160
adults, an English congregation of 50(mostly youth), and about 80
children. CHCCC
was incepted as the Chinese Mission under the ministry of Cherry Hill
Baptist Church (CHCCC) in October 2002. The Chinese Mission launched out
as an independent church, CHCCC, in May 2004. In May 2008, CHBC closed and
graciously let CHCCC take over the stewardship of the church property and
facilities. Reverend James S. Chen from Salt Lake City, UT, responded to
the calling of God to become our Pastor since Nov 2008. CHCCC has
experienced such a rapid growth in the last several years that we now have
the need of an English pastor/minister to shepherd the English-speaking
groups among us that include English-speaking adults, students, youth, and
children. CHCCC is called to serve the growing Chinese population (approximately 20,000) in Cherry Hill and neighboring towns, such as Voorhees, Moorestown, Mount Laurel, Deptford, and so on. We have a vision of establishing a strong English ministry. Being 30 minutes away from Philadelphia, PA, there is a consistent influx of families relocating to and raising the next generation here. General
Description of the Position Calling ¡V English Ministry Pastor/Minister The English pastor/minister will oversee the English ministry which includes English-speaking adults, students, youth, and children. He will work closely and under the supervision of Pastor James Chen. He will need to exhibit the gift of preaching, teaching, evangelizing and caring. Qualifications ¡P
Called
by God and has a burden to reach out to the unsaved ¡P
Has
passionate love for Christ as exemplifying in daily life and character ¡P
Enthusiastic
in making disciples of Christ ¡P
Possesses
formal theological training, preferably at a graduate level ¡P
Preferably
has 3 or more years of pastoral/ministerial experience ¡P
Has
spiritual and emotional maturity ¡P
Exhibits
strong teaching, leading, organizational, and interpersonal skills ¡P
Ethnic
Chinese familiar with American culture, or non-Chinese but with knowledge
of Chinese culture ¡P
Preferably
married ¡P
Agrees
with CHCCC doctrines, bylaws, and practices Responsibilities 1.
Oversees
all English-speaking adult, youth, and children ministries (i.e., worship,
Sunday school, Bible study/fellowship groups, etc), gives direction, and
provides supervision to ministries¡¦ staff and volunteers. 2.
Preaches
and teaches in English worship services and Sunday school classes. 3.
Oversees
outreach programs, care ministries, and fellowship for English-speaking
adults. 4.
Serves
as a liaison between the English and Chinese congregations. 5.
Engages
with parents, families, youth, and other adults to actively promote faith
development and spiritual growth for those who are in the English
ministry. 6.
Develops
discipleship and training classes for English-speaking believers. Interested
